Pwllheli was the other option in ESE but too far on a Bank Holiday so Colwyn Bay. Bit offshore and gusty but not as bad as feared. Rigged 6m and was overpowered to start, and 115l with 36cm fin rode up too much in gybes but fearfull of swinging offshore and being stranded so stayed big. Good fun riding over chop, though fell in some turns until wind moderated, and turning behind breakwater as tide rose.
They were holding a Student Windsurfing Association event and good to see youngsters enjoying the day. Well organised.
As I thought of finally reducing fin wind decreased. I tried again and took a while to water start back in so packed up after enjoyable session. Rik, Adam and Geoff sailing and Mike talking.
